We all must have access to the legal system.  For most of us though, the thought of getting an attorney’s assistance is not even really a thought because we know they are too expensive. Because of this, we think that the legal system is there just for the rich and there isn’t much to make us think otherwise.

We all know that our country is based on, among other things, justice for all. When our fore fathers determined that justice had to be available for everyone, we don’t think they realized that the cost of justice would get so high and so beyond what the average person can afford.

Though we all know that legal situations and problems are not just a privilege of being rich.  Everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, has legal situations and problems.

Here is just a small list of the legal events that happen in everyone’s life:

• Having to sign a contract that was written by the other party’s attorney
• Purchasing a home
• Preparing your will and living will
• Been overcharged for a repair
• Been audited by the IRS
• Been a victim of identity theft
• Tried to return a defective product
• Received a traffic ticket

There are many more situations that can be included because a legal situation is any situation where an attorney’s involvement will improve the outcome to you.  These things happen to all of us fairly regularly.  We have just as much right as a rich person to use an attorney in these situations.  In fact, that is what most attorneys became a lawyer for – to be able to help everyone with these legal situations.

When the cost of certain things became too high for most people, the solution has been insurance where the cost is covered by small amounts paid by a very large group of people. This has happened over time for many costs life events through life insurance, car insurance and health insurance. Well that solution for the high cost of legal situations is just the same, legal insurance.  Legal insurance exists though it is not mainstream yet like the other insurance products.  It is a very economical way of giving everyone access to the legal system for all their legal situations.  So legal insurance is definitely a benefit to the insured, but the lawyers love it too since they can help everyone regardless of their ability to pay.
