Dave its all about getting out the comfort zone and facing your fears or tackling shortcomings if you want to grow.

I have heard this many times now but it's not until I actually started doing it that it worked and made sense to me.

Good points to bring up...it is the discomfort of new ways that some incredible growth/change can flow. Sometimes the mind goes into overdrive to keep us from feeling that discomfort...it is so genius.

Dave,

We have heard somewhere that we should do something every day that scares us. To us that means, like you've said, stretching our comfort zone.

By stretching the "zone" in which we feel comfortable doing things, it can only lead to doing more and more and boldly (maybe sometimes warily) taking our lives to new heights.

"Feel the fear and do it anyways"...

Thanks,
~ Pat and Lorna
http://TheCoolestCouple.com

Many years back, when I was in a very self-limiting state, I heard someone say to me ~ "if you are not constantly pushing on the edges of your comfort zone, it will shrink in around you until you cannot breathe." And that was exactly how I felt! I have since made it a motto to spend time each day dancing at the edge of my comfort zone. And the resulting feelings are electric!

And yes, all leaders I know understand this principle, and with practice, you can take things on that previously would have been WAY out of your reach, and now feel entirely possible and accessible. Life is always an evolution of learning and expansion. Thanks for your leadership, Dave!
