@Beth Hewitt Beth, I'm actually thinking about changing my approach from being the nice guy blogger to the direct in you face guy like my mentor Larry Winget. What do you think? I guess I will just go as the wind blows on that certain topic. If the subject P%S*ES me off, then go with that. If I'm feeling joyous and full of love, I guess I'll go with that. Hey Dave and Dawn,

Thank you for this post. A lot of people need to read this and evaluate if WHAT they are REALLY doing with their life is actually going to get themselves what they want out of life.

Someone, who will remain nameless and who I love very much, but needs a quick sharp hit up the backside thinks that if they just stroll through life then this perfect girlfriend, perfect job, perfect home, perfect bank balance will just fall out of the sky. WELL IT WONT!

It really frustrates me when I hear mums at the school gates moaning about how rubbish their lives are and I just want to say, well have you looked at things differently, have you tried a different approach, have you spoke to your boss, have you thought about anything other than the problem and how diabolical your life is. NO…oh well you can’t really blame anyone but yourself then can you.

But of course, I am much more refined, subtle and caring to say any of this obscenities but thank you for spelling it out for people so I dont have to lol.

Hit the nail on the head!

We were talking about the "Ostrich Syndrome" in my Business Communications class last week and discussing how people who want promotions don't actively do the things necessary to earn a promotion..they just EXPECT it to happen. If someone's life sucks, it's their own fault. We have a choice every single day on what decisions we make, whether we go to work and do a good job or do a poor job and whether we spend the time necessary to improve ourselves long term.

Too many people have the poverty mindset and are held back by fear, ultimately leading to the same failures/sadness over and over again.

Nike's JUST DO IT slogan is what people need to tell themselves if they are to ever make a change.. Great post!
